    Seriously amazing architecture! Even in it's broken down state, you can still see genius at work. And, of course no one built more grandly than the Romans. Even to this day, it would be hard to find architectural rivals to what we have here.

  2. I can't believe they've actually had naval battles here too. That's quite crazy. I knew about gladiators and such, but never that. Also I knew they pitted animals against humans, but never knew they pitted animals against animals. Very interested history I learned today. Thanks for sharing!

    This must have been the most exciting place to be back in the day when it was active (talking thousands of years ago, Roman times)... or rather exciting and scary. Of course, looking at it now, the place is just a monument to the past but for those people it was what television or Facebook is to us now. An amazing place, for sure. :)
