Top Attractions

USS Arizona Memorial
The USS Arizona memorial is located in Pearl Harbor. The memorial was built in honor of the marines and sailors killed by the surprise attack by Japan on Pearl Harbor. It also serves as the resting place of 1,102 of the 1,177 sailors and marines killed on the day of the attack. The site has been marked as a national landmark hence many visitors flock in the place annually. It is estimated that there are over a million visitors to memorial.

Little Museum
This is yet another attraction site in Pearl Harbor. The museum plays host to a theater. The planes have caged in this museum for members of the public to see and even sit in them. Even President George Bush’s plane is here for members of the public to view it.

How to get to Pearl Harbor

After the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, the US Navy has been very vigilant on modes of entry to this point. The farthest you can reach by a plane is at the Airport in Honolulu. From there, you can take the shuttles ferrying people to the harbor.

Is it true there are planes sunk just under the surface of the water? And they just left them there from the attack. I don't know if that's true but I think that I remember seeing that on a history show awhile back. I've never visited this location but it's certainly on my list of places to go.

  2. This title reminds me of the movie pearl habour. It was a very great loss to US till date.

  3. The blue water is simply amazing! Such breathtaking natural scenery, contrasted with the site of such a sobering historical event. I'm sure this place brings back many unhappy memories for families associated with the event.
