Overview of Paradise Island

Paradise Island is found in Bahamas. It was formerly known as Hog Island. The island is located on 685 acres of land just off the shore of Nassau. There are two bridges that connect this island to the island of New Providence. Both bridges cross Nassau Harbor. The bridges were built in 1966 and in the 1990s respectively for the first and the second bridges. Before World War II, the island was privately owned by a Swedish entrepreneur known as Axel Wenner-Green. The Island has an airport that allows in visitors from far getting in with much ease.

There are many casinos and night clubs in Paradise Island that will ensure that your nightlife is well catered for.

Beaches
The average temperature of beach water is 80º. You will surely enjoy every moment in these white sand beaches.

Water Activities
There are various water activities that are enjoyed here at Paradise Island. Some of the top activities include; diving, swimming with dolphins and cruise drives.

Romantic Ambiance
There can never be a better place to experience romance than in Bahamas. At Paradise Island, you can be rest assured of a romantic ambiance. Many people have had their weddings hosted in this island.

Island Culture
You can enjoy the widely celebrated Nassau Island culture here at Paradise Island.

How to get to Paradise Island
The easiest way of getting to Paradise Island is by the use of an aircraft. Some people have made grand entries to this place by using choppers to land here. If you can afford, a chopper landing is the best.

  1. What a dream come true it would be for me and my beloved to have a romantic (second) honeymoon in the Bahamas. The beautiful white sandy beaches would be so great for relaxing on. And, a world away from our daily troubles. I can't wait to visit. You make it sound like heaven on earth. :)

  3. What's the beach life type atmosphere like, if you don't mind me asking? I'm not a very 'rich' type person, just casual and easy going, regular kind of Southern gal. :)

    I like laid back vacation places, not anywhere I'd have to get dressed up fancy for. Is this more of an upscale resort?

    I'd love to hear your views about this place. And, yes I love beaches as I used to leave very near Bradenton beach. Have you ever been there? :D

  4. What a great place to be. How expensive are the hotels? and when is the best time of the year to visit this place?

    1. Hotels are pretty expensive. I stayed at British Colonial Hilton Resort on points. It costs hundreds a night if you pay.
