Napa and Sonoma valleys are by no doubt the crown jewels of California wine country. These regions are regarded to as home to the best winery and champagne houses. The region in itself is a tourist attraction for there are a number of activities that can be experienced down here. There are a number of hotels that can host many visitors coming to this region. The region enjoys a ‘Mediterranean’ Climate, which is a good one for the production of grapes. Most visitors come in from the months of June through October. A majority come during the months of Sep/Oct to witness grape harvesting.

How to get to the Wine Country
There are no public transit routes that go directly to the wineries. To get here from San Francisco, you would take a Golden Gate Transit to San Rafael and then connect to Sonoma county transit.
