From SFO to LHR. And the journey to London City.

Heathrow Express Underground Station
On Heathrow Express.  This is one of the most expensive train journeys in the world.  $35USD for 15 min ride to Paddington Station!

Paddington Station
I got my Oyster card, for buses, tubes and overground train rides, at Paddington.  This is a very convenient pay as you go credit in a card with daily price capping.  And you never pay more than the price of one day pass travel card if you take a lot of journeys in one day.  Each journey costs £2.20 with Oyster card (the fare costs more than double if you pay cash to the driver) in Zone 1 (most attractions are in Zone 1).  The daily price is capped at £8.40.
I don't know why they call oyster.  It doesn't look like one.

This is very exciting!  London double-decker bus ride from Paddington to the nearest bus stop to my hotel.  So unique!
A sweet welcome note and treats from the hotel.
