Dublin Castle

This castle has been involved in some of the most important events that have shaped up the history of Ireland. It currently serves as one of the most prestigious conference centers in the region.

This castle was built in 1204 and was completed in 1230. This is one of the most popular tourist spots in the city and people are allowed to visit the various halls, the courtyard and gardens of the beautiful castle while a guide mentions the most important historical events that occurred within the walls of the castle.

The castle that does not look like a traditional Medieval Castle

After visiting Tower of London and Edinburgh Castle, I was expecting something the same.  The castle looked much smaller.

Castle Admission €4.50; Only €3.50 with my student ID ;) which is way less expensive than the other big castles I visited.  It was a great experience and I learned the Ireland history.

This is definitely an essential stop in your tour.
