Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree National Park is a result of the extreme conditions which provides a home habitat for the several ecosystems that are completely adapted to this kind of a climate.

Like any other National Parks the Joshua Tree National Park is faced with the ongoing archaeological theft investigations of Native American artifacts. The National Park Foundation has been using Impact Grants to raise money needed for the investigation and help.

This is too bad because Joshua Tree has been an inspiration for many artists and musicians. Traditionally there is an Art Festival held annually at the Cove Amphitheater that supports an Artist-in Residence Program.

It's a long drive from Palm Springs to North Entrance station.

This place is incredible!  It is enormous!!

Skull Rock

Split Rock, Live Oak and Jumbo Rocks

Can you see some little people climbing on Jumbo Rocks?

As of today, I have visited 15 US National Parks (out of 59).

Denali (AK), Redwood (CA), Lassen Volcanic (CA), Yosemite (CA), Sequoia (CA), Kings Canyon (CA), Channel Islands (CA), Joshua Tree (CA), Arches (UT), Zion (UT), Grand Canyon (AZ), Yellowstone (WY, ID & MT), Grand Teton (WY), Rocky Mountain (CO) and Everglades (FL).
