Burney Falls, McArthur-Burney State Park

Hiking and the falls are the main reason for a trip of this magnitude, hence the available boating experience too.

Lake Helen, Lassen Volcanic National Park

National Park is open to non-camping visitors and you can stay at the Drakesbad Guest Ranch from June to October, with the advanced notice, that you have to make reservations.

Food service is a bit tricky around here. It is provided in the Visitor Center and Camper Store but it is seasonal so you need to make an inquiry about the specific hours and seasons. They are not the same every time.  Ice cream here is awesome after the hike in the heat.

Mill Creek Falls, Lassen Volcanic National Park

Hiking is pretty intense at Lassen Volcanic because of the heat and the tough inclined surface.
Practice makes perfect!

As of today, I have visited 14 US National Parks (out of 59).

Denali (AK), Redwood (CA), Lassen Volcanic (CA), Yosemite (CA), Sequoia (CA), Kings Canyon (CA), Channel Islands (CA), Arches (UT), Zion (UT), Grand Canyon (AZ), Yellowstone (WY, ID & MT), Grand Teton (WY), Rocky Mountain (CO) and Everglades (FL).
